Yes, it is finally going to happen. We are very pleased to announce that VEGA VINYL will be releasing our 40 minute EP "The Murder of Tom Fitzgerril" on 12" 180 gram vinyl with gatefold artwork. The album will be available in two colors and should be available this summer. I am working on the art right now, and it's going to incorporate several of Orion's designs that we've used for tshirts and stickers over the past 2 years. be excited be be excited.

We're very happy to announce that Rob Motes (ex-COMA RECOVERY, star of BEERFEST) will officially be joining the ranks of CONSTANTS. We know he has some big shoes to fill, but we all think he's the man for the job.

In other exciting news, we will be releasing a 7" vinyl with CASPIAN and touring down to SXSW with CASPIAN & JUNIUS in March. The new record will feature a new song from both bands, which are possibly the most hard-rocking-no-non-sense compositions from either camp. ever. Real gut punchers. Seriously.

Speaking of SXSW, RADAR RECORDINGS is putting together an amazing showcase with Austin based GIANT STEPS PRODUCTIONS on 3/16 at Red 7. On top of all your favorite Radar bands (CONSTANTS, JUNIUS, ADAI) the showcase features bands like PORTUGAL THE MAN, TERA MELOS, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, MAPS & ATLASES, CASPIAN, CONSIDER THE SOURCE, COLISEUM, THE COMA RECOVERY, LOOK MEXICO, BATTLEFIELDS and some other amazing bands we can't announce yet. So you better be at SXSW this year if you know what's good for you.

And speaking of GIANT STEPS PRODUCTIONS, they will be releasing a comp for SXSW that will feature another brand new song from CONSTANTS. Yes, that's two new songs in one month. For all of you who have been anxiously awaiting new music from us, March will be your month to rejoice. We've been working hard on recording and we're really excited to bring the new material out on the road.

After SXSW, we will be joined by the good old boys of LOOK MEXICO and the old good boys of JUNIUS for a tour through the southwest and up the east coast. It's going to be one helluva time, and I for one can't wait. But ironically I probably won't be able to remember any of it. Go figure.

First off, we're very happy to announce that Jon Hassell has officially joined the ranks of Constants as a full time guitar player and that our first record as a four piece will be recorded by KURT BALLOU (CONVERGE, OLD MAN GLOOM) at GODCITY STUDIO in Salem, MA this November. We've been talking with Kurt, writing lots of new material and are all very excited about what will be our second full length and third official release to date.


But before we enter the studio, we've got a ton of other cool stuff coming up too.

After 10 months on tour in 2006 and over 350 shows since 2005, we're headed back on the road this September, this time on a co-headlining tour with our friends CASPIAN who SPIN.COM says "transcends post-rock cliches with meticulously crafted songcraft." Doesn't get much better than that... That is until we're joined in October by one of my favorite bands out there right now, the sonically massive duo of ADAI.

On this tour, we will also be offering an exclusive limited run of hand printed, hand dyed and hand numbered t-shirts that we are co-designing with Boston's own ESEF . He's done some amazing work for bands like SIGUR ROS and MONO, so we're extremely pleased to be offering a collaboration with him to you.

We're also teaming up with the environmental educational group REVERB to continue our efforts to promote sustainability and renewable fuel sources. REVERB has paired artists like THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, THE BEASTIE BOYS, and THE BLUE MAN GROUP with green sponsors so we're very proud to be a part of their campaign to promote recycling, efficiency and waste reduction at concerts, special events and college campuses nationwide. It's awesome. Go ahead, call us hippies.

We'll still be touring in our waste vegetable oil powered school bus The Star Destroyer, which we are currently upgrading and modifying using parts from LOVECRAFT BIOFUELS . Wait until you see how good this baby looks and runs this tour.

Hey all.

We've spent this week drinking entirely too much, fixing up the bus and playing music. You know what that means? We're back on the road!

We've already been out for a few days and had today off to sleep it off and get more vegetable oil.

This tour takes us in the direction of Austin, TX for SXSW. Duncan put together an amazing Radar Recordings party with label mates CARRIGAN, JUNIUS and friends MAPS AND ATLASES, CONSIDER THE SOURCE and AD ASTRA PER ASPERA (Sonic Unyon) on 3/15 at The Creekside Lounge. If you're headed to the HYDRA HEAD showcase that night, or if you really need to see all your favorite Radar road warriors, make sure to swing by our party first for a few drinks and some free vegetarian food.

After SXSW, we'll be doing a handful of dates in the southwest with ADAI followed by a few shows with RUSSIAN CIRCLES (Flameshovel Rec.) in the midwest. Jon's birthday will be happening in K-zoo, so if you live within 500 miles of that city and enjoy having a good time, it would behoove you to make the journey. Also, when we return home to Boston, we're very excited to be playing the CD release party of our good friends CASPIAN (Dopamine Rec.) and ON FIRE(Magic Bullet) on April 13th at The Paradise.

Jon from SENECA will be joining us again on guitar, and we're all really excited about this tour. This will most likely be the last tour we do before we head into the studio to work on our next record. We've been talking with a few people about the beast we will be recording, and have a ton of new material we've been working on as well.

Also, we have a live in studio recording we did in Whitefish, MT at Snow Ghost studios a few months ago that should be up on our website soon, so keep checking in for that.

Thanks to everyone who helped us make 2006 an incredible year, and we very much look forward to seeing everyone again on the road in 2007.

So here we are safe and sound, home from tour. It's been a crazy year for all of us and thanks to everyone who helped make it that way. Also big ups to the JUNIUSguys. We spent the last 2 weeks of tour crammed on our bus with them, freezing, catching stomach flus, playing shows and just generally causing mayhem as the 9 of us crossed from Chicago down to North Carolina and then up the east coast.

Now we've all parted ways and we're catching up on rest for our 4th Annual Last Night on Earth Weekend. In case you haven't heard about it yet, here are the details:

After which we shall be celebrating the end of another year. After which we shall be recovering for a couple days. We're then taking a couple months to regain sanity and hopefully work on some new material.

We're headed back out on tour in March for SXSW and we've got some other pretty exciting news on the horizon. Keep your eyes out for live MP3s and lots of other goodies in the first few months of 2007. Happy Holly-daze from Constants and all that.

After having been on tour for 9 months this year we've managed to make some amazing friends. People have been asking us "so are you spending Thanksgiving at a homeless shelter?"

Today, we've been spending Thanksgiving with a friend's family in Great Falls, MT. We were invited over to his grandfather's house for dinner, and although we've never even met the man, we were welcomed - and fed - like family.

It's definately not easy to be away from the people we care about for as long as we have this year, but finding new and amazing people on the road is part of what this year-long journey has been about.

This year we give thanks to all the people that have helped us to accomplish our goals, and have taught us something about ourselves. Without the kindness, understanding and beer from amazing people like Doc, Roxy, Carson and everyone who has taken us in, fed us, and taken care of us, we wouldn't be the people we are today, and we certainly wouldn't be able to stay on the road this long. We've got 3 weeks left of tour this year, and it looks like we're going to make it. Thank you all and Happy Thanksgiving.

As we begin the final leg of our 10 month tour (only a month and a half left!) we're incredibly excited to say we will be joined by labelmates JUNIUS for the last three weeks of tour in December. Check for updated tour dates here.

Otherwise, we're taking 4 days off this week to make sure the bus is up to the task of another 2 months of driving (the answer being yes, she is), fixing gear, taking some naps and Duncan is still booking shows like an animal. We also just did some live recording with Dana from JUNIUS at RED 7 in Austin, TX. I should be able to edit that and post some MP3's soon. We'll also be doing more live recordings, including an in studio performance (hopefully some video as well) before the end of this tour, so stay tuned for all that.

Long time no update. Sorry. Believe it or not we're still on tour...and will be until the end of the year. But thing are going pretty well. Thanks to all our friends in the Northwest for taking such good care of us. We'll be back up there next month and we miss you already.

Other than that, the bus is running well, the shows have been good and we're gearing up for the fourth annual Last Night On Earth weekend (New Years). Radar is getting ready to announce this years headlining act, and we're all really excited about it. Should be a good time.

Here we are in Salt Lake City UT. We've got a couple shows left before we head down to southern California to begin writing our next record. We're taking about 4 weeks off from tour, and hopefully we'll walk out of these sessions with a blueprint for the future of our music. If nothing else we should have a demo or two that I'll be sure to post online. Then we're back on the road until December. We've got a couple new tshirt designs, new stickers and we're looking forward to touring in some nice autumn weather.

After the first two and a half months of our 10 month tour, we've all taken the past 2 weeks off to enjoy the fruits of our labor and individually cause havoc all across North America.

But now, we're back to business.

CONSTANTS is headed out for another month, this time across the south followed 3 weeks up and down the west coast. We've still got our giant bus, we're still playing epic space rock and we've accumulated more tattoos, more tequila, more black clothing - and though we've lost a bit of facial hair, we are very much ready to bring the rock.

Orion was just complaining that I haven't updated our blog in a while, and I guess he's right, so here we go.

Today is Duncan's 23rd birthday and so far we've celebrated by seing Xmen 3, sippin some fine single barrel whiskey and enjoying the air conditioning in the finest mall in Dallas TX.

We're about a week away from wrapping up the first 2 months of our year long tour. A couple of days ago we kidnapped our friend Joel (INFINITE DIVISION/ STATUES CRY BLEEDING), and we've been having a great time.

Here we are in El Paso TX. We're really just getting warmed up playing shows, but it feels great to be back on tour, out on the road, seeing friends and making new ones. We're definately still learning the ins and outs of living in and maintaining the bus, so if we ever decide to stop playing music, I'm pretty sure we could all enjoy decent careers as bus mechanics.

The shows have been going well and we're psyched to finally be enjoying some warm weather. We've been playing some new material as well....I'd say about 10 minutes worth. Plus we've been getting compared to Neurosis more, which I personally think is cool. (I think it's because of Duncan's light show).
